Cambii is an American singer/songwriter who blends the genres of Pop, R&B, Hip-Hop/Rap, Folk, Funk, Afrobeat, and more. What separates Cambii from other artists is his ability to jump from genre to genre in an effortless fashion, sometimes even within the same song. It is truly impossible to put a label on his artistic style.

 

As a child, he was introduced to a wide variety of music including artists such as Michael Jackson, Otis Redding, Marvin Gaye and James Brown. As he grew older he found himself listening to music every chance he got. He developed a particular interest in artists such Chris Brown, Justin Timberlake, Young Thug and XXXTENTACION.

 

Cambii's first major hit would come in March 2019 when "Promoting Sounds", a popular underground hip-hop channel on YouTube, reposted his track "Your Classic Love Song". The song currently has over 500,000 streams. Continuing his genre-bending journey, Cambii entered the drill scene by dropping "All The Smoke" which has garnered over 700,000 streams on SoundCloud.

 

After posting the track “Fell 4 U” in May of 2021 Cambii took a break from releasing music. As his music journey progressed, he realized that he needed to “leave the old Cambii in the past” in order to truly become the artist he has always envisioned. He plans to make a return in 2022 with a series of projects that will do just that. ⏳
